Studio 2 for Children

Written by

The Bunbury Regional Art Galleries 'Studio 2' art classes for kids are the perfect opportunity to get their creative little minds ticking while having some serious fun, in a relaxed and controlled learning environment.

Creative Kids classes are a great environment to teach our younger generations some of the techniques, tips and skills involved across all aspects of art.  The tutor and galleries staff work hard to develop a new topic each term, the students then use different mediums and ideas to explore and reinforce that technical concept.

Some examples of these concepts are landscapes exploring perspectives, colour exploring communication through colour, textures and textiles through projects focusing on paper.

Programmes

Written by

The Bunbury Regional Art Galleries runs regular programmes throughout the year including art classes, workshops and floor talks.

The art classes are run in conjunction with the school term and provide a supportive learning environment, ideal for anyone looking to explore their creative side.  Both children and adults are catered for, with a range of classes designed for both the beginner and the more advanced.

Workshops are offered intermittently, although we do intend to increase the number and variety of workshops offered in the very near future.

Floor talks are also offered on a regular basis and often involve the exhibiting artist holding the floor talk to discuss the concepts and ideas that their work has derived from.  These are offered in a relaxed format to ensure they are suitable for artists, collectors, arts enthusiasts or simply as an engaged introduction to the arts.
