Wednesday 02 March 2016 10:00am Only the Envelope is Vahri McKenzie’s playful take on Australia’s current dialogue around data retention policies. The installation offers visitors the intimate experience of viewing an original film whilst being monitored by her ‘laboratory technician’, who will invite viewers to watch the film while wearing eye-tracking glasses. Who do you focus on? Where do you look? How long is your attention span? It sounds a little spooky, but don’t worry, after all, it’s ‘only the envelope’. |
